Indulgence filled the air at the Ha’Penny Beach Club as Executive Chef Ralph Motta treated members to an unforgettable cooking class featuring the elegant and irresistible French Tart.
From selecting the finest ingredients to mastering the delicate art of pastry making, every aspect of crafting the perfect French Tart was explored. The class was not just an opportunity to learn a new recipe; it was a celebration of passion, creativity, and the joy of coming together to share in the pleasures of good food.
Members left with smiles on their faces and a newfound appreciation for the art of pastry making, eagerly anticipating the next culinary adventure that Chef Motta would bring to the table.

St. Croix is a lovely place for a wedding. The island has many amenities and services to make your big day extra special — including Ha’Penny Bay Beach Club as a venue.
One of our many Club member benefits is the opportunity to host private events with the beautiful Caribbean as the backdrop. Corinne Farinola, owner of STX Weddings, has created magical events here at the Club, including this wedding reception complete with mocko jumbies as special guests!
Corinne’s table settings of fresh flowers and elegant linens were a perfect compliment to Ha’Penny’s charming pink archways. A tent was set up, complete with romantic twinkling lights, to accommodate additional guests. And we just love how Kelly Greer captured the brilliant cobalt dusk sky during the father’s speech.

On Friday, June 26, Ha’Penny Bay Beach Club hosted Jazz By The Sea, a live virtual concert in place of Jazz in the Park. This festive evening of live music is normally held at the Christiansted Fort, but COVID-19 caused the March, April, and May concerts to be cancelled.
When they reached out to us to host a virtual music event, we were delighted! It was a superb evening, produced by Virgin Islands Consortium, featuring the Edwin Russell Quelbe Jazz Band. Click below to watch!
Prior to the evening, the only announcement of the event was of the live streaming of Caribbean Music on the shores of the Caribbean Sea by Caribbean Musicians, no location given. Of course, in this time of COVID, no live audience was invited, but at the beginning of the concert, the organizers thanked Ha’Penny and announced the location. Over 400 listeners joined the live broadcast. All proceeds are being donated to Cruzan Kids Rock, a non-profit after-school music program for at-risk youth.
