January 2026 at Ha’Penny: Gather, Share & Celebrate

The new year begins with a full and lively calendar at Ha’Penny Beach Club, blending great food, meaningful connection, and plenty of reasons to spend time together. From signature dinners to daytime gatherings and a few special highlights, January sets the tone for the year ahead.

One of the most important dates this month is our Ha’Penny Annual Member Meeting & Luncheon on Saturday, January 10. We’ll gather at 11:00 AM for the meeting, followed by lunch at 12:00 PM, a chance to reflect on the year behind us, look ahead, and reconnect as a community.

We’re also introducing something new: Friday Night Pub Night on January 16, from 5:00–8:00 PM. This relaxed evening with lite bites is designed for easy conversation, catching up after the holidays, and welcoming seasonal members back to the Club.

Food lovers won’t want to miss Chef Ralph’s Showcase Dinner on Saturday, January 24, a special evening highlighting his creativity and culinary range. It’s the perfect night to invite friends or guests and enjoy Ha’Penny at its most inspired.

Throughout the month, members can enjoy a rhythm of beloved favorites:

  • Regular Dinners on Tuesdays, including January 6 and January 27
  • Steak Night on January 13
  • Fresh Catch Dinner on January 20
  • Book Club, Lunch & Game Day on Thursdays, January 8 and 22
  • Beach Walk, Lunch & Game Day on Thursdays, January 15 and 29

Several dinners this month will also welcome potential members, making January a wonderful time to introduce friends to the Ha’Penny experience.

Whether you’re joining us for a meeting, a walk, a game of cards, or a beautifully prepared meal, January offers something for everyone. We look forward to seeing familiar faces, and welcoming new ones, as we begin 2026 together at Ha’Penny Beach Club.

    Show off your bocci skills or cheer on your friends in this fun and relaxing outdoor activity.
  • Sunday Supper Buffet at 5:30 PM
    A feast for the senses, our Sunday buffet is the perfect way to wrap up the weekend.

January 28th – Regular Dinner
Another cozy evening at the club awaits. Join us for a meal that feels like home.

January 30th

  • Lunch & Games at 12:00 PM
    End the month with a cheerful midday gathering filled with good food and laughter.

Looking for a welcoming space to explore captivating stories and engage in thoughtful discussions? The Ha’Penny Book Club is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow book lovers and dive into a wide range of fascinating reads.

This month, Ellen Rusling will lead the discussion on An Unfinished Love Story by Doris Kearns Goodwin. The book explores Doris and her husband Dick’s reflections on his notes and speeches from the 1960s, highlighting the legacies of JFK and LBJ. It’s a historically rich and insightful dive into a pivotal era.

Looking Ahead:

  • February 20: Gilgamesh: The New Translation by Gerald J. Davis, a foundational classic exploring themes of power and immortality.
  • March: Table for Two by Amor Towles (tentative, recommended by Claire Church).
