We’re pleased to welcome local Homeowners Associations to gather at Ha’Penny Beach Club.

Our open-air clubhouse offers a comfortable, relaxed setting for meetings of up to 150 guests, with tables, seating, and WiFi available. It’s a space that makes room for both productivity and connection.

For added ease, our kitchen team, led by Executive Chef Ralph Motta, can provide lunch, light bites, or refreshments, so you can focus on the meeting while we take care of the rest.

The facility rental is $300, with simple coordination and a warm welcome waiting for you.

To reserve your date, please call (340) 209-8680.

We look forward to hosting you at Ha’Penny.

There are some things we all simply understand as part of coming to Ha’Penny, the beauty of the bay, the familiar faces, the feeling of arriving at a place that feels a little removed from the rest of the world.

And then there’s the road.

We’re asking members to join us in a digital letter-writing campaign to DPNR/DPW to help bring attention to the condition of the road leading to the club. If you’ve driven it, you already know the stretch we mean, especially that left turn by the beach heading toward Ha’Penny. It’s the part everyone talks about, and it’s the part that truly needs attention.

Our hope is simple: if enough of us take a few minutes to submit individual requests, it may help move this issue further up the list.

The online form allows you to submit a complaint directly and even attach photos, so if you have images that show the condition of the road, please include them. The more clearly the issue is documented, the better.

You can submit your request here:
https://stcroixrequest.portal.iworq.net/portalhome/stcroixrequest

Please be sure to fill out all required fields before submitting. You can also return later and check the status of your request using the “Find a Request” option on the site.

It often takes persistence to create movement, and this is one of those moments where every voice helps. All ah we can make it happen if we stay persistent.

April has a way of shifting the energy at the Club.

We move gently from season to season, welcoming spring, celebrating Easter, and beginning to see a few familiar faces head north while new ones arrive. To our snow birds, we wish you safe travels and a smooth journey home, you’ll be missed. And to our summer members, welcome, we’re so glad you’re here.

The month begins with Easter Sunday Brunch on April 5th, one of our favorite gatherings of the year. It’s a table meant for sharing, family, friends, and a little extra time together. We’re looking forward to seeing you all there.

Just a couple of days later, on April 7th, Chef Ralph presents a Chef’s Showcase, a five-course tasting menu and one of the standout dining experiences of the month. Thoughtful, layered, and meant to be enjoyed from start to finish, it’s an evening built around the pleasure of a well-paced meal.
$75 per person

Throughout the month, we’ll keep things moving with a mix of easy and elevated evenings, Fresh Catch Dinner on April 14th, a return to bright, coastal flavors, and Italian Night on the Deck on April 21st, inspired by the recent member survey (yes, we’re listening… and cooking accordingly).

We close the month on the deck with Grilled Kabob Night on April 28th, a relaxed evening by the water as we settle into the rhythm of the season ahead.

As always, guests are welcome and if someone comes to mind who feels like they belong here, bring them along. Summer memberships begin this month, and we’re always happy to meet new faces.

Here’s to a beautiful April at Ha’Penny, full tables, open air, and good company.

Sometimes even our little slice of shoreline needs a moment to catch its breath.

To complete the final phase of repairs, Ha’Penny Beach Club will be closed March 16–23. This short pause allows us to finish the remaining work efficiently and without interrupting service week after week.

The good news? The roof and door repairs are already complete, and looking great. This final stretch will ensure everything is secure, polished, and ready for the months ahead.

What This Means for the Calendar

  • No Tuesday Dinner | March 17
  • Game Day | March 19 will gather at Francie’s
  • No Sunday Supper Buffet | March 22
  • We reopen with Tuesday Dinner on March 24

We know how much these weekly rituals mean, the candlelight, the laughter, the steady rhythm of gathering by the sea. This brief intermission helps us protect the space we all value so deeply.

Thank you for your patience and continued support. We look forward to welcoming you back on March 24, refreshed and ready for a beautiful spring season together.

See you soon at the shore.

Join us on Saturday, January 10 for our Annual Members Luncheon & Meeting, a mid-day gathering that brings together good food, familiar faces, and a look ahead at what’s to come at the Club. It’s the perfect pause in the day to connect, reflect, and be part of the conversation.

This year’s luncheon menu is warm, classic, and crowd-pleasing:

  • Creamy White Bean Sausage Soup
  • Quiche Lorraine
  • Crispy Chicken Sandwich
  • Cobb Salad
  • Fresh-baked Chocolate Chip Cookies

Please be sure to book with Susie, so we get a headcount.

We look forward to seeing you at the table as we start the year together, informed, well-fed, and in good company at Ha’Penny Beach Club.

And a warm first-time welcome to our new members:

As always, Ha’penny is more than just a beautiful stretch of sand and sea – it’s a community. Whether you’re here to unwind, connect, or catch a few waves and stories, we can’t wait to share another unforgettable season with you.

Here’s to shared sunsets, spontaneous potlucks, and long beach walks with old and new friends alike.

Welcome to Summer 2025 at Ha’penny Beach Club!

We’re looking to welcome 10 new members to the Ha’Penny Beach Club! As part of our vibrant community, members enjoy access to exclusive events, beautiful facilities, and the camaraderie that makes Ha’Penny special.

If you know someone who would love being part of the club, invite them to join us! Let’s share the Ha’Penny experience and grow our community together. For membership inquiries, reach out to hapennystx@gmmail.com

Have you noticed the stunning new tables, chairs, and linens in the dining room? If they seem familiar, it’s because they are! A heartfelt thanks to our President, Jim Hughes and Chef Motta for striking a fantastic deal with Dustin Kendrick, Executive Chef/owner of Too Chez to acquire their beautiful chairs, tables, linens, table settings, and glassware. With these upgrades, Ha’Penny Beach Club can now comfortably seat and serve up to 150 guests.

This expanded capacity opens the door to hosting your family and friends for a memorable meal or planning your next private event at the club. If you’re part of a nonprofit on the island, we encourage you to consider Ha’Penny for your next fundraiser or meeting.

Planned Facility Upgrades

  • Replacement of rusty fans and electrical upgrades.
  • Beach access stairs are on the punch list.
  • The dining room ceiling needs a fresh coat of paint.
  • We’re also working on filling potholes on the road while planning for a new route. However, due to flooding from Ernesto’s rains, environmental remediation is necessary before construction begins.

Stay tuned for more updates, and remember: sharing is caring! Invite your friends to experience the improvements and join in the Ha’Penny spirit.
